Baked Garlic Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6-8 ounces each)
  • Preferred seasoning (such as salt, pepper, and garlic powder), to taste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Maggi seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Season the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Season them with your preferred seasoning, such as salt, pepper, and garlic powder, to taste. Sprinkle minced garlic evenly over the fillets.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine water, ketchup, sugar, vinegar, and Maggi seasoning. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Brush with Sauce: Brush a generous amount of the sauce mixture over each salmon fillet, making sure to coat them evenly.
  5. Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet with the sauced salmon fillets in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches your desired level of doneness. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Once the salmon is done baking, remove it from the oven. Garnish the salmon with chopped fresh parsley or green onions for a pop of color.
  7. Serve: Serve the Sweet & Hot Baked Garlic Salmon hot, with lemon wedges on the side for extra zest. You can also drizzle any remaining sauce from the baking sheet over the salmon for an extra burst of flavor.
